It protects roof framing from radiant heat where the chimney passes through the roof deck. It is part of the DuraChimney II / DuraTech compatible air-cooled chimney line that Mason-Lite pairs with its fireplaces for wood and gas applications. Each component is built with a stainless steel inner wall and galvanized steel outer wall for strength, safety and corrosion resistance.

Choosing components from the same chimney system keeps the installation listed and compliant, avoiding the fit and safety problems that come with mixing brands. The double-wall air-cooled construction moves cooling air between the walls, keeping exterior surfaces at safe temperatures around framing. Order matching pipe lengths, supports, shields and terminations to complete the run. Choosing components designed for the Mason-Lite system keeps your installation consistent, protecting performance, appearance and long-term reliability.

What's Included

Roof Radiation Shield

Key Features

Required at the top of chase enclosure or where the chimney passes through the roof

For use with Mason-Lite MFP49, MFP39-14, MFP44-14, & Custom Units

Class A UL 103 listed chimney component

Stainless steel inner wall with galvanized steel outer wall

Air-cooled design for safe clearances

For wood-burning and gas fireplace applications

Specifications

Brand

Mason-Lite

Item Number

16DCA-RRS

Product Type

Roof Radiation Shield

Size

16"

Compatible With

MFPST43, MFP63

Material

Stainless & Galvanized Steel

Documents & Files

2024 Catalog

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0772/9646/8151/files/mason-lite-16-roof-radiation-shield-for-mfpst43-mfp63-and-custom-units-1.webp?v=1793192508
https://www.efireplacedirect.com/products/mason-lite-16-roof-radiation-shield-for-mfpst43-mfp63-and-custom-units-masonry-fireplaces
