It is the starting point of the chimney run, securely attaching the first pipe section to the top of the masonry firebox. The anchor plate secures the chimney while the damper allows you to seal the flue when the fireplace is idle. A properly installed damper is required for every indoor Mason-Lite fireplace application.

Closing the damper when the fire is out reduces heat loss, improves home energy efficiency and keeps drafts out of your living space. Mason-Lite offers several damper options, including anchor plate dampers for masonry or metal chimneys and cast iron dampers with damper blocks, so you can choose the right solution for your venting system. Note that when Mason-Lite firebrick panels are installed, damper blocks are typically not needed. Because it is designed to work with Mason-Lite fireplaces, it installs cleanly alongside the rest of your build without guesswork or field modification.

What's Included

(1) Anchor Plate Damper

Key Features

Designed to lift a traditional vestal damper

For use with FMI 12DM Pipe(Ins.
